Homebrewcast

Hey all. It’s been so long. I am really interested in reviving the Homebrewcast. I have a few ideas and I want to expand to other platforms such as the Dingoo and Windows Mobile. Right now, I am looking for new hosts. If you would like to host please send me an email at homebrewcast [at] gmail.com and I will get back to you. I am looking for someone who is free a weekend a month at least.

Next, my idea for the show, for a few episodes at least, is to interview developers from many systems. I’ve got a few developers lined up that I want to to talk to so hopefully that will turn out well.

Due to the slow decline of the DS homebrew (a major componant of the podcast) we are not going to have episodes until we get a new platform with a more active homebrew scene, such as Dingoo or Pandora. We will continue to do PSP news as soon as the podcast starts up again.

Sorry about the week of downtime everyone. GoDaddy wouldn’t allow me to renew the domain for some reason, so I got all pissed off, yelled at them, and then transfered to the registrar that every other site of mine uses. For future reference, don’t ever get anything from GoDaddy. No matter how hot the girls are, how cheap their prices appear, or how much free stuff they give away. GoDaddy is a bunch of git-faces sitting in front of their computers trying by any means necessary, to park a domain on their ad server so they can make money.

If you are wondering (which you all are) when the next episode is, its pretty hard to plan. It comes down to who all is on when we feel like recording. It will be done when we want. You can’t really plan this stuff.

I have recently been told by my good friend EmuDeath/emusan that there is a new Chinese console out there called a Dingoo. Its only been out for a little while but all ready homebrew is starting to pop up here and there. I’ve seen a lot of reviews for it and it looks like a really cool console. We would like to review it on the show so please start donating to help us get a Dingoo to review on the show! Idealy I want to be able to have the Dingoo and have it reviewed by the first episode of the new season this June.

I fixed the blog in case you haven’t noticed. You can actually go on it now. Something got fucked up in the DNS servers for my host and the subdomain I was forwarding to from homebrewcast.net broke, so now it just redirects to a folder, which is cool. We are actually going to be leaving this host in July and moving over to Vexxhost, as their prices are much lower and they include so much more.

Hey Listeners! After a long 2/3 month hiatus, we are back with a new episode. This episode was just sort of a “get-back-in-the-groove” episode. It’s like 1:30 Hours long and we just discuss technology. It also features a new intro made by Dominik (MagNet).
